The wolf blinked her eyes against the blinding white light. One thing was clear today, it was indeed winter in Blutwald and as she left the den Estella paused to take in the appearance of the freshly fallen snow. The glaring white shone in the watery sunlight and made stark contrast to anything even slightly darker, and the female admired its beauty.
Padding out through the Blutwald main camp and in the direction of the river, Est’s young mind turned to the occurrences and changes taking place in her beloved pack. Only yesterday her father had announced that the pack was now going into isolation, and everyone had their own different reasons and opinions about this matter.
Est continued walking, but her thoughts were interrupted when she recognized a familiar dark figure against the snow ahead, it must be her pack-mate Parker! Raising her head higher and swishing her thick tail, Est quickly looked around to make sure she wouldn’t be interrupting whatever Parker was doing, then headed towards the other juvenile a friendly smile on her face.
:iconpilgrimme:
This was the first time Parker actually stayed where she was told, the adult were growing more angry with her disobedience by the hour. After the Alpha’s announcement Parker felt like she was being kept away from the world, instead of seeing it as dangerous she saw it as an opportunity for adventure. She shrugged off the Alpha’s new decree, surely he didn’t have eyes everywhere, she grin maliciously to herself. Speaking of eyes, Estella was making her way over and any plans Parker had were put to rest, convinced that Estella would tell her daddy everything. ”Daddy’s little girl” Parker slinked towards the red wolf, keeping her words in check. To disrespect the Alpha’s kin was to disrespect the Alpha.
:iconkestrelraptor:
If She had heard Parker, Estella gave no indication of it as she padded over to stand before the dark she-wolf. "Good morning, Parker" she said, her voice warm. Looking at the other she-wolf, Est wondered what Parker was thinking. If she was honest, the red wolf found it hard to imagine life without her own bustling family, -to be on your own.

Est knew she was lucky to have such a family, She was the alpha pair's daughter, but sometimes she felt that this put so much more pressure on her to be a perfect child. Especially at a time like this.

She knew well enough the darker female in front of her had a lot of spirit, and wondered what she thought about the whole new decree thing.

Suddenly exasperated, the alpha's daughter's eyes flickered towards the river pressing her ears back, she felt like if anyone, Parker would understand. "This isolation! It's really, so... unfair." It was hard to voice it at first, but Est really just wanted to rant. "We are finally juveniles, old enough to actually see things, and now we cant!" Her voice raised slightly towards the end, then she paused abruptly. Est felt guilty for her outburst and disagreeing with what the alpha said, but she just looked uneasily at Parker waiting for her reaction.
:iconpilgrimme:

Parker sat as elegant as she could next to her royal guest, "And a good morning to you as well.” Parker gauged Estella’s true intentions for this rare encounter, even if they were familiar with each other the two barely spoke. Morale differences and all. Parker rolled her eyes waiting for Estella to get to her point, to her surprise even the alpha’s pup was upset over the new ruling her father induced. Parker gasped lightly ”I’m shocked you of all wolves should know the importance of safety.” she teased covering her maw with her paw.

Parker laughed pushing her fellow juvenile ” You only can’t do something if you don’t try, with you it would just be a little harder.” Parker spoke of the watchful eyes that were always on Estella, the safety that came with a family were also a reminder to the vigilant gaze set upon her every move. ” Maybe it won’t be so bad, not having to do anything for the rest of our lives sounds pretty good too.” Parker shrugged she wasn’t too sure what could be said around Estella, she also wasn’t going to stick around this pack any longer than she needed.
:iconkestrelraptor:
Estella laughed lightly at Parker's teasing, a clear sound showing her relief that her companion wasn't judging her for her own little outburst.
"That's true, they do just want to keep me safe." Still, her smile faded slightly, the intelligent female couldn't help but feel disappointment. She didn't want to go behind her fathers back to learn of these new things and places. Surely the other packs she had heard snatches of information about had other techniques and skills that could improve and help them.
At the other she-wolf's words Est looked up in surprise, she couldn't imagine anything worse than leading a pointless life. "I don't think I could live like that." She said now serious, she was by nature honest and now was no exception. "If anything this is going to make people leave. What is my father so afraid of out there?" She whispered the last part and her green eyes glittered, she knew fear well, but was it right to let it hold you back from living?
:iconpilgrimme:

Parker sighed, the heavy tones of the conversation made her uncomfortable. She wasn’t into the politics of pack life and just as Estella wanted she herself just like to explore. ” This may only be temporary, until you’re old enough to leave perhaps?” Parker could not be sure of the reasoning behind the new rules. ” I say cause enough mayhem until they beg for you to explore. We’re young they can’t expect us to actually listen to their every word.” Parker nudge Estella letting her know to follow her. No one around the pack really kept an eye on Parker so she disappeared pretty regularly, what harm could come from showing Estella an escape route or two.
:iconkestrelraptor:
For a moment she hesitated when she realized what Parker intended, but right now it seemed like such a wonderful opportunity. As she stood there momentarily debating her next actions, the she wolf pushed her concerns aside and trotted forward. She was normally an obedient wolf, but Est decided this wasn't hurting anyone and it might be one of her only chances in a while to explore.
:iconpilgrimme:
Parker let out a hushed laughter, the idea of sneaking out with the daughter of the alpha made her adrenaline pump. ”Oh yeah, did you get that talk about choosing a task? Adults are always talking about responsibilities” Parker stuck her tongue out playfully and snuck into the bushes near a close den. ” Oh hey don’t be scared I do this all the time.” with every adult busy with the new gossip the borders were sure to have more lax style security. The she-wolves weren’t far from Nordu River and could easily follow it as a guide through the forest.
:iconkestrelraptor:
"Oh my gosh, that talk!" Estella said in joking exasperation, "Putting more pressure on us is more likely to just stress us all out and make us make the wrong choice anyway!" This was the truth, Est hated to be rushed and she wanted to make the right choice but right now it seemed so unclear.

The red and grey she wolf smiled and continued to quietly follow her companion into the bushes.

"I'm not scared... Maybe I'm a little nervous if we were to get caught." She admitted, and then grinned at Parker "That won’t happen though, Of course." She said mock proudly, in truth the female had every confidence in Parker's knowledge of the routes, and her heart began to pump with excitement.
:iconpilgrimme:

” I know right! “ Parker shook her head worried for Estella, not only is she expected to be a role model within the pack, but she now needs to learn a task for her future in the pack. ” I don’t plan on doing any of that, this pack has changed so much since I first got here.” The two walked beside the calm frosted river, Parker enjoyed the idle conversation since she had no idea where they were going in the first place. ” The trouble usually comes when we get back.” If they were gone for too long others would start to notice and concern would come next. Parker laughed at the thought of Estella’s face when they arrive back to the pack and the adults are in full panic.

”Hmm..Where should we go? I didn’t actually think this far.” she said scratching her head. The dark wolf wasn’t too sure what Estella wanted to see, nor did she know what she was into really. Parker always had a hard time reading others, but she could see the red wolf looked to her with confidence.
:iconkestrelraptor:
"Oh, i can understand that. What were you considering then, have you planned anything yet?" Est knew strait away what Parker was implying. The daughter of the Alpha would be sad to see Parker go, but if it make the dark she-wolf happy Estella knew it would be for the best.

At Parker's words about trouble Est looked slightly concerned, she didn't want the pack to worry or get upset. However, she wasnt ready to head back just yet, so she simply smiled and nodded.

"I really don't mind. It’s just so great to be out here!" The wolf replied happily, and her steps quickened as she breathed in the fresh air. Looking to Parker and then to the path ahead, laughing she broke into a light run; to this young female running was one of her greatest joys in life and she almost couldn't help herself.
:iconpilgrimme:
” I’m ditching this place first chance I get” she hadn’t given much thought into her future in this pack and always felt out of place within its walls. Parker thought it was for the best she found a place where she could truly be herself. She would be sad to leave her friends, but surely they would see each other again. Parker watched as Estella sprinted forward and join in her merriment, with her tongue lolled to the side Parker ensued. She nipped at Estella’s heels playfully, her paws splashing in the slush snow. It was nice to have fun, this could honestly be the last time they seen each other and Parker wanted to leave on good terms.
:iconkestrelraptor:
Laughing, Estella slowed down to and with a skip she turned round to face her Packmate, a playful smile on her face. "Well then Parker, you must come back and tell me of all the adventures you have!" She said, beaming. The things Parker would get to see, the new places and new wolves she would encounter made Est's heart swell with excitement at the thought alone.

Abruptly, and only for a second, the she-wolf's green eyes flickered away. Perhaps the Alphas' daughter was slightly sad, sad that she had bound herself to one pack alone. She loved her pack like nothing else, and doubted she could ever leave. Still the endless possibilities called to her young heart, and she was glad Parker could take this opportunity.

Smiling once again, she looked back towards the way they had come. "I suppose we should begin to head back; I would hate for the pack to realize we are missing before we can sneak back in. You know how they can be." She grinned, grateful for the time they had spent together out here.
:iconpilgrimme:
”Of course I don’t dream of leaving you out of any, I’ll try to visit as often as possible.” Parker panted through each word, she had a genuine smile cross her face. She wanted to keep in touch with all the pups she grew up with, Blutwald her first true home though she didn’t grow close to many wolves that reside in it she’d still miss them. ” Yeah let’s go before someone notices.”
